Took a trip to St. Louis, MO to visit family for the holiday weekend.

Callie's 1st Birthday

I can't believe a year has already come and gone since Callie was born! We celebrated her 1st Birthday in St. Louis with one big family gathering. Callie didn't quite understand the opening of presents, but her aunts and uncles helped her out quite a bit: After a while though, she sort of figured it out:One thing she did understand completely was dessert! I made cupcakes and we let her dig in by herself. She was so serious the entire time that she ate it.

Ty: Army Bound

Today is Ty's Birthday. He's 23. He left for Basic Training with the Army 2 weeks ago. He's had a busy summer with graduating Police Academy, getting married, and preparing for Basic. I am so proud of him and can't wait to see what is in store for him and Krystal.

Right before he left, Callie and I went home to St. Louis hang out since we most likely won't see him until March 2011 some time. Ty loves his neice, and she loves him back. Their favorite things to do together are swim and watch Baby Einstein videos on YouTube.This may be the last "line-up" picture for a while:

Ty & Krystal's Wedding

July 10th, my brother (Ty) got married to his longtime girlfriend Krystal! The wedding was beautiful, the weather was gorgeous, and overall it was a great day! Here are a few pictures that I stole from my mom's camera:My sisters and brothers were all in the wedding party...and a good friend of ours made Callie's dress from the extra material from hemming Miranda's dress!Ty and Krystal had the biggest smiles on their faces all day long! I'm so happy for them to finally tie the knot! :)

The reception was held at an outdoor park/gazebo and was so much FUN! We had the best BBQ ever, ultimate frisbee, washers, music/dancing, and CAKE!

Cards Game

Over the weekend we went to Cincinnati to watch the Cards play against the Reds with Braden's parents and brothers. Callie's first Cardinals game (her shirt reads: "We want a pitcher, not a belly itcher"):

Happenings

Took off work a few days and went home to St. Louis for Braden's cousin's wedding. Here's a few pics: BridesmaidsAaron (friend), Grant (Braden's brother), Joe (Braden's dad), Braden (my hubby!), Jon (friend)Amanda and Brett right before taking off in the stang.

Also, another reason for our trip home was the annual NANC conference. Lucky for us, it was downtown St. Louis so we were able to attend. I was really excited to hear from speakers such as John MacArthur and Elyse Fitzpatrick. I have already been able to put into practice some of the things I learned from this conference.

On our way back home to Louisville we stopped and visited the Anheuser-Busch Brewery and took the tour. Here are a few pics Braden took with his camera phone: Thursday Braden turned 23. We celebrated while we were at home with family: My little sister Miranda made him the sign. He got $, a new pipe (yuck), and I knitted him some sweet fingerless gloves:

And I took him here for his birthday dinner. Great food and great view of the river which is beautiful at sunset.

Zach's Graduation

This weekend we were able to make it home for my brother Zach's high school graduation from Christian High School in O'Fallon, MO. My parents threw Zach's grad party after the ceremony...lots of friends and family! : )
