Bluegrass Balloon Festival

Yesterday we attended the Bluegrass Balloon Festival at Bowman's Field here in Louisville, KY. It posed as a great photo opp. and Braden reluctantly agreed. Just kidding, Braden is always a good sport when it comes to entertaining my childish delights! I am and will always be a kid at heart. At any event that Kentuckians put on there is always an over abundance of fried foods. Of course, being that we are now residents of Kentucky, we took part:As the sun began to set, they had what's called a "balloon glow", here's pictures:

Pretty neat, huh?

CSI

You will appreciate this if you don't have cable.
The only thing on at night is CSI, besides the news or talk shows.
I'm getting pretty tired of Horatio on CSI.
Here's why:

The Office (take two)

Remember this? Brandi Chastain after scoring the winning penalty kick in the 1999 Women's World Cup.
Now watch this (if you dare):

Labor Day Weekend

Guess where we went for Labor Day weekend? Yep, St. Louis...whenever we get a free weekend. We spent the weekend watching soccer games, hanging out with friends, and just chillin. Some of my family went down to the Lake of the Ozarks, and Braden's dad was preaching in Zambia, Africa...so we hung out with whomever was still at home. Here's pictures!

Hanging out with mom, Miranda, and Buddy in the basement:
Miranda had a soccer tournament at O'Fallon Park on Saturday and Sunday:Sunday night we watched a soccer game at Lindenwood and caught up with some friends.
Kristen and Scott, the engaged couple...to be married June 2008!
Tommy and his band The Marquette Weekend are about to go on tour...they start in Louisville, KY so we'll get to see they're first show next month! Can't wait! Krissy just got back from China about a week before her semester started. Crazy girl! She was teaching English and spreading the Light with everyone she came in contact with. She has some amazing stories about what she learned during her trip, even though she was the one who was the teacher!
Monday we went to a picnic with Braden's mom's side of the family. Got to see cousins, aunts and uncles, and grandparents too. Good times! Wouldn't trade my family for the world!
