Cincy/Columbus trip

Our anniversary trip was a success! We had a great time exploring both Cincinnati (which we have visited several times previously) and Columbus, OH. Callie is (thankfully!) a really good traveler...otherwise we would probably not have been able to do as much as we did. I think she's used to it by now though with the number of times she's been to St. Louis, MO and back. Here's the breakdown:
Day 1: Drove from Louisville, KY to Cincinnati, OH. Checked into the hotel then had dinner at Brother's Bar & Grill. It was located right on the riverfront and we both had some great burgers. After that we walked around Newport on the Levee and across the pedestrian bridge called People Purple Bridge. The bridge was pretty neat and had a couple of bars set up on it with seating and live music. After that we went back to the hotel and took Callie for a swim in the pool.
Day 2: After breakfast and checkout we drove from Cincinnati, OH to Columbus, OH.
Went to IKEA!!! Later we had burgers (we love burgers!) at 5 Guys Burgers & Fries and walked around outdoor Easton Town Center. This place was pretty awesome...lots of shopping, food, drinks, movie theater, etc. Here's a picture to give you an idea of how nice this place was:Day 3: We had lunch at Z Pizza...Braden totally didn't want to eat here because all of the ingredients were "organic" and vegan/gluten free options...he thought "healthy" pizza would be gross...we tried it anyways and the verdict was two thumbs up! Next we took a walk and explored North High Street which had lots of restaurants and shopping and also Goodale Park:

Dinner at Northstar Cafe, and off to the hotel pool again! :)
Day 4: Drove from Columbus, OH to Louisville, KY.

The End. :)

32 week maternity photos

We went home to St. Louis at the beginning of the month to visit and for a baby shower :)
My mom took some pics for us...kinda like a mini maternity photo shoot. :) So finally, here they are:The hands in a heart shape over the belly...so cheesy, we had to do it! haha!
Then we rallied up all the aunt and uncles-to-be to get a group shot...of course, it took awhile...
...but in the end, it turned out perfect! :)
Soon I should be posting my 36 week pictures...I can't believe I'm less than a month away from my due date! It keeps going by so quickly.

Anniversary :)

On Wednesday, we celebrated 3 years of marriage! We went out to dinner, sat in the free seats at The Muny and saw Camelot. Afterward we went to the famous Ted Drewes, which serves the best frozen custard in St. Louis.
We had a great time and now we can't wait to see what happens in our near future as we transition to the role of parents.

Fall Fun!

Drove over to Indiana yesterday afternoon and visited Huber's Orchard.

We took a hayride out to the pumpkin patch and picked our own pumpkins:

We also bought a huge bag of apples....and some apple cider....I'm planning on making some apple butter soon...so more to come on that (if it turns out! lol!).

Colorful

I received these from Braden when I got home from work today...they're very, colorful...but they go with what Braden wrote in the card that I got with the flowers.

It said: "these flowers are fun like you and colorful like your language"

To explain, we had a very...competitive soccer game with our co-ed team "Crossfire" last Friday night...it got a little heated and "colorful like your language" covers the rest...I had some apologizing to do after the game...

Last Day

Today was our last day on the beach because tomorrow we head back to Louisville. It's a 10 hours drive and we'll probably spend the rest of the weekend recovering before we head back to work on Monday. I am SO not looking forward to it. I don't want to leave!

on vacation

More beach time:
A little putt putt:
A little ski ball: We're getting good at using the timer on our camera! haha!

2 year anniversary!

So happy that we were able to spend our 2 year anniversary at our favorite place: the beach! We exchanged cards and hit the beach for some skim boarding. We did some shopping today as well and had some good food, but the highlight was being able to hang out on the beach and go swimming in the ocean. We'd live on the beach if we could!

It really doesn't seem like we've been married for two years...doesn't seem like it's been that long, but I guess time flies when you're having fun!

short trip to INDY

Yesterday I took off work early so we could head to Indianapolis, IN (which is about an hour and a half away from Louisville) for a Gavin DeGraw and Jason Mraz concert. Braden got me two tickets for my Birthday, which was a few weeks ago...and I was nice enough to offer one of my tickets to him.
It was a hot day, but we held out strong and had a really good time.
The stage:Us:Gavin DeGraw:B:We're big Jason Mraz fans and I was pretty excited to get my picture taken with Toca Rivera, Jason's second hand man! I don't know what the gnome was about though:Jason Mraz:
