The Nursery

Finally, right? My last post about the nursery was last August...and Callie is now almost 4 1/2 months old!

Well, actually the nursery had never been a big deal to me...I had no theme, no specific colors, no specific bedding, etc. I tried not to go overboard...Callie didn't even sleep in her crib until she was about 2 months old because she was in her pack n' play either in the living room or in our bedroom. But now that I have things a little more organized, I thought it would be fun to share some pictures of my favorite parts of Callie's room

Baby Legs

I've been wanting to get Callie a pair of those cute leg warmers or "baby legs", but could never justify spending $15 on something that I could easily make from a pair of knee socks! So I did just that...with the help of a great tutorial that I found online. I ended up making three pairs - all in different sizes as she grows.

Now please, someone needs to come over and stop me from cutting up the rest of my socks! :)

Play-time!

Playtime is consuming much more of our days lately. I love it! The interaction is so much more fun than when she was a newborn...not that I'd give up those days for anything!

Playing outside

My baby girl is already 4 months old! I can't believe it! We took her for her check-up last week and she weights 12.5 pounds and is 24 inches long. :)

Last week we had some really nice weather so I was able to hang the laundry outside to dry...and I was able to take Callie outside to play:

"Socktopus"

A while back, my friend Alicia introduced me to the pattern to knit this "Socktopus", I saved it in my Ravelry, and a few weeks ago I decided to make it for Callie and use some of my yarn stash. It turned out really cute and it's legs are the perfect size for Callie's little hand to grab and hold onto. It seems to always be nearby:
Oh and just as a side note, if you knit or crochet and don't have a Ravelry account, you MUST get one!
