K2, P2 for 4 rows.
On the 5th row, bind off the first 6 stitches and the last 6 stitches of the row.
This leaves you with 40 stitches on your needle.
With MC, st. st. for about 4 1/2 inches.
3 needle bind off.
Weave in ends.

ReplyDeleteI did mine on circulars because my straight needles weren't long enough. You "seam" up the end when you do the 3 needle bind off.
